Wow! Time sure does fly. I can't believe it has been a month since my last post. I come across so much information daily it is sometimes difficult to decide which information I should post. Today I came across an article that really struck me though. I have so many friends who are battleing the "system" that tries to get them to medicate their children. I am included in this group. I do believe that the school system where my children attend have a clear understanding of where our family stands on this issue, finally. It has not been easy, but I know it is the right choice for us.
The following article discusses the latest discovery... ADHD drugs are similar to "street drugs" and may be creating druggies as young as 6 years old. Doctors are encouraged to advise parents of all the possible side effects. How many doctors are going to take time to do this? It is up to us as parents to be sure we educate ourselves.
